Wine type: champagne - Blanc de Blancs - Cuis 1er CRU.
Vintage and alcohol content: 12°
Region: Champagne Cotes des Blancs - France.
Grape/blend: 100% Chardonnay from Premier and Grand Cru.
Type soil: the soil is poor and rocky, the temperature is ideal in summer (partly due to the micro-climate created by the local wind, the Ora del Garda): vines here still co-exist alongside olive groves. The valley is more open here and the excellent sun exposure allows the grapes to ripen to perfection.
Colour: pale yellow, greenish.
Aroma: beautifully pure, floral nose.
Tasting notes: a racy, energetic feel with nuances of stone fruit, acacia, brioche and underlying minerality. Lovely purity and vitality run like a vein through the wine, which has a long, crisp, slightly nutty finish.
Serving suggestions: as aperitif or with artichoke and gruyère dip.
