A blend of Merlot (40%) and Cabernet Sauvignon. (60%) Young and vibrant with raspberry aromas, blueberry flavours, roasted pine nuts and a dark chocolate aftertaste.
Age of vines: 9 to 19 years
The grapes were hand-picked from beginning February to mid March 2011.
Fermented in 10,000 litre stainless steel tanks with between 16 and 20 days skin contact. Malolactic fermentation occurred in French oak barrels.
Maturation: matured for 18 months in 225 litre French oak barrels. The wine has an ageing potential of at least 6 years from vintage.
