Grape/blend: 100% Nebbiolo.
Type soil: the soil comes from the Tortonian Miocene epoch. It is a blue-grey marl rich in calcium carbonates and manganese, with a mixture of fine sand and clay as well as limestone called Sant’Agata marl.
Colour: ruby, tending towards garnet.
Aroma: intense notes of roses and violets, accompanied by a touch of damp earth and ripe red fruit.
Tasting notes: tannins which are very persistent, though soft, speak to an evolution which will take a long time to complete.
Serving suggestions: juicy red meat and mature cheeses. Serving 18°C.
