Letrari - Pinot Grigio IGT Dolomiti

Letrari, Pinot Grigio IGT Dolomiti. This wine is obtained from Pinot Grigio grapes grown in the southern part of the Val d'Adige, traditionally known as Terra dei Forti because of the presence in the area of many Forts of different edges. Today the area is recognized as the best territory into the larger Valdadige DOC area to grow high quality grapes. The wine is produced and aged only stainless steel vats before its finishing in the bottle.

Region: Trentino Alto Adige, Rovereto,  Borghetto all' Adige e Nogaredo - Italy.

Grape/Blend: 100% Pinot Nero

Type soil: the soil is poor and rocky, the temperature is ideal in summer (partly due to the micro-climate created by the local wind, the Ora del Garda): vines here still co-exist alongside olive groves.The valley is more open here and the excellent sun exposure allows the grapes to ripen to perfection.

Colour: straw yellow.

Aroma: it releases a fragrant bouquet of smooth fruit impressions, of apple and pear.

Tasting notes: a crisp, dry, well-balanced palate.

Serving suggestions: perfect as an aperitif wine, it also partners beautifully with egg-pasta soups, seafood, and asparagus.
