Piedmont - Monferrato - IT

Chris & Aaron is like a trip tale into the mind of a creative soul

Tenuta Montemagno, Barbera Mysterium DOCG. This Barbera is produced from the oldest vines on the estate, with medium to late harvesting and fining in Allier oak barrels. It perfectly reflects both the characteristics of the grape (with its power, fruitiness, freshness and crispness) and those of the terroir (with its finesse, mineral aromatic complexity and harmonious tannins), to which it has acclimatised perfectly.

Wine type: red wine - Barbera d'Asti superiore Mysterium Monferrato DOCG

Alcohol content: 15°

Region: Montemagno, Asti - Monferrato - Piedmont - Italy

Grape/Blend: 100% Barbera.

Type soil: Calcareous clay with slightly silty marls and alkaline pH with considerable water retention, age of the vineyard: 70-80 years, Guyot training, facing south.

Colour: intense, brilliant red, with highlights of purple and black.

Aroma: generous and intense, with light touches of vanilla, liquorice, eucalyptus, ancient spices, black pepper, cherries and wild berries.

Tasting notes: warm, full, balanced tannins and an excellent, long-lasting aromatic finish on the palate. Always maintains its unique silky-smooth elegance.

Serving suggestions: it pairs well with roast, meat dishes and medium strength cheeses. Serve at 18°/20° C.

Please note that it is an offence to purchase or attempt to purchase alcoholic liquor if you are under the age of 18.

Editor's note: This land preserves the Asti area’s most precious treasure. Riches that Tenuta Montemagno display in the luxuriance of its crops. From the same municipality of Montemagno the vineyards extend as far as neighbouring Altavilla, Viarigi and Casorzo. Sight is strained by taking in rows and rows of some of the most ancient and famous Piedmont vines. Monferrato, Asti - Piedmont - Italy.
